Featured in the DVSA Galleries in the winter of 2025, Tacit by Callum MacInnis was part of our DVSA Gallery Open Call program. 15-year old Callum is an emerging young artist with a vivid imagination. Identified as having Autism Spectrum Disorder, he has been making art his whole life, recently turning his focus to painting and sculpture to help communicate his thoughts and feelings.
“My art is usually focused on faces or characters as the main framework. I’ve always made-up characters in my head. I make art because I’m not good at talking. If I was good enough at talking, I wouldn’t be making art, though I also really enjoy it.”
