2A71 *NEW* Patination for Potters and Sculptors

Wayne Moore

10 Dec - 10 Dec, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm

$49.00

It’s not alchemy, but in this workshop you’ll learn how to transform bisqued clay, wood and/or plaster artwork into a good facsimile of bronze, stone, wood or marble. While most people consider patination to be the result of the aging of a surface (such as verdigris on copper), this workshop focuses on applying a unique patina that will bring new life to your work. Whether it’s a compositional element, masking repair or a flaw in the materials or simply creating the illusion of being metal, stone or wood, adding a patina is a useful tool for all those working in 3D. Note: results are decorative and not for functional pieces. Students should bring 1-2 bisque, plaster or wood pieces to work on. Monday. Course Fee: $49 includes a $5 material fee. Limit: 12 students

The material list for this class is not available yet. Please check back for updates.
