Amanda Immurs paints soft, whimsical scenes of children and animals. Immurs’ oil paintings are grounded in representation, depicting conceived spaces and magical moments in time. Her paintings tell a story, leaving the viewer with a sense of wonder. Immurs interest lies in the innocent nature of her subjects. She takes pride in capturing a sense of personality and bringing life to her paintings. Each piece takes careful planning as well as several layers of paint and glaze.

Immurs is a graduate of McMaster University’s Fine Arts Program. Her work can be found at Crown & Press Gallery (Hamilton), and Artspace Warehouse (Los Angeles) as well as various collections throughout North America.
