About the
11-Week Residency Studies in Visual Art Program
This program is a course for those who are seriously committed to a contemporary art practice whose aim is to express their distinct artistic identity.
The Residency Studies in Visual Arts is a division of the Advanced Studio in Fine Art at Dundas Valley School of Art. It is directed by John Wilkinson, N.D.D., R.A.S. (Dist).
Please note: The DVSA Advanced Studio program is a full time program and different from our 11 week Foundation Studies in Visual Arts Program.

Scholarships: We are pleased to be able to offer free studio space to a limited number of fine art university graduates for the Spring Semester. This intensive experience, combined with constant tutorial support, would particularly suit those looking to prepare for MFA applications. Since its establishment in 1985, DVSA’s Advanced Studio has offered graduates of college or university programs additional opportunities for self-directed independent study. Many have gone on to MFA programs in Canada, the USA and Europe and then national and international careers. For additional information on our Advanced Studio programs, please visit our website.
