Back for spring 2017, it’s our ever popular First Friday series with two art options: Licensed To Draw (and Paint) and the brand new, Licensed To Watercolour. Held on the first Friday of the month, these are a great nights out to socialize and brush up on your life drawing and painting skills.
Licensed to Draw (and Paint)
These drop-in life drawing and painting workshops featuring “adult libations,” a prime spot in front of a life (nude) model and the opportunity to unwind from the week as you settle in to draw or paint. Working with artist and DVSA instructor, Ward Shipman, you’ll hone your skills through short sketches and longer poses. Instruction provided, if needed. Ideal for beginners to advanced artists.
6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Only $15 per session. Licensed cash bar with light snacks available.
Licensed To Watercolour
Join artist, Nancy Benoy, for a relaxed evening creating a set of stylish and vibrant watercolour cards sure to impress your friends and family. In addition to the fun, you’ll learn basic watercolour techniques including resist, wet over wet, blotting and wet over dry. No experience necessary and all levels welcome. Bring some brushes and a basic set of watercolours.
6:30 – 9:30 p.m. $15.00 per session. Licensed cash bar with light snacks available.
