LAVENDER INSPIRATIONS
Lavender Inspirations invites queer and trans teens ages 14-19 to our FREE peer-support space for making mixed media art. Depending on our interests as a group, each week we pursue a new project in a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, collage, zines, and sewing. Though registration is required, this is a drop-in style program that is different every term and features visits from local guest artists.
Lavender Inspirations is a non-clinical, peer-led space following mentorship models that connect queer and trans issues with race, class, land and disability.
This program is facilitated by student art therapists Mikey Fortier (they/them) and Fern de la Mora (they/them) from The Toronto Institute for Art Therapy, and artist Birdie Gerhl (she/her).
**Please note that Lavender Inspirations is a masked space. KN-95 masks are provided.
