As a result of living in various cities across Canada, I have had the privilege of being exposed to diverse urban populations and environments. This has fostered my inquisitiveness to explore the cultural aspects of these places and their inhabitants.

An early career in medical imaging taught me the skill of using shades of grey and of making sense of obscured images. But color has always been part of my DNA. While working for Kodak in Marketing and Applications, I developed an even greater appreciation and fascination with using color to communicate and influence perceptions

Kodak also triggered my interest in the demise of industry and the impact on people, economies and cultures. Now as a practicing Psychotherapist, I am influenced by issues of loss of identity, dealing with change, and finding meaning and purpose.

One of the things that living in numerous communities have provided me with is the opportunity to attend art schools and clinics put on by numerous well-known art instructors.

I have been involved in the Advanced Studio program at Dundas Valley School of Art. I also studied at the Ottawa School of Art, Haliburton School of the Arts, Algonquin and St Lawrence Colleges, and attended numerous art therapy courses.
