Ever since she was a child, Aline Chan has written with a nib pen. She has studied calligraphy with several international master calligraphers. Aline is also a quilter and has worked on several projects with the City of Hamilton including Canada’s 125th Anniversary, Hamilton’s Sesquicentennial and most recently for the anniversary of the War of 1812 project.
Aline is a semi-retired school teacher.
In her workshops at DVSA, Aline teaches traditional styles of calligraphy. To her, calligraphy is more than just a way to write, it is a way to express oneself.
