About Catherine Gibbon

Catherine is a native of Dundas. She is a founding member of the Carnegie Gallery and has created and developed art and environment related projects such as “On the Edge.” She has maintained a working studio in the Dundas area for several decades and continues to work in this area while exhibiting in public galleries across Canada. She has also worked as Artist in residence in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Saskatchewan. She is the recipient of numerous awards and public commissions.

Catherine is also a musician who plays the wooden flute and performs in several local traditional music groups.

Nature is my inspiration. This interest has led me into many diverse forms of expression including painting, sculpture and environmental arts projects.
