Our main fundraiser of the year, the bidding begins April 6, 2017 for the 47th Dundas Valley School of Art’s Annual Art Auction. This year’s edition features pieces from art world masters such as Picasso and Renoir, works from iconic Canadian artists such as Frank Panabaker, Conrad Furey and Robert Bateman, and a vast selection of artwork by the region’s finest new and established artists. Over 1,400 original works will be on display in all mediums – paintings, pastels, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, pottery, glass, fibre art, jewellery and more. Come view the hundreds of works of art on display throughout the school and place your silent bids. Other highlights include the Dream Auction, featuring great value gift packages from local businesses, and the Discovery Room which showcases a wide selection of highly affordable pottery and matted works, books, art supplies and equipment.
Live Auction: Saturday, April 8, 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 7:00 p.m.)
The marquee event of the weekend, the Live Auction is held in the school’s premier event space, the Studio Loft, and features 52 distinct selected works such as a Picasso and Renoir along with pieces by leading regional artists such as Catherine Gibbon, E. Robert Ross, Julia Veenstra, Eric Ranveau and Lila Lewis Irving. Silent auction bids on all other artwork also close on this evening – be here for the food, drink and fun and to ensure your bids win your favourite pieces.
