Lorrie Gallant is a writer, illustrator, storyteller, visual artist and educator, born and raised on the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. She is from the Cayuga Nation and the Turtle Clan. Lorrie is the author and illustrator of her own series of children’s books. She has led collaborative projects exhibited at Mackenzie House Museum, the PanAm Games, and Nuit Blanche Arts Festival in Toronto. She was the first woman/ Indigenous person/artist educator to receive the Ontario Arts Foundation Artist Educator Award in 2015.
