To our DVSA Community,
Like most organizations, to help prevent further spread of the virus, we have closed the school until further notice. We are doing our best to stay on top of developments and make adjustments as it affects our students, faculty, staff and school operations. Please take the proper precautions to keep yourself and loved ones healthy and do everything you can to slow the progress of the virus.
Recently, we delivered the first of our digital Art Care Packages containing a collection of things we hope you may find inspiring, mood brightening, informative, useful, calming or just entertaining entrances to “rabbit holes” sure to help while away the time. We hope this will be of help to our artist community and anyone who is creatively inclined – which, in our view, is everyone. See the package here.
Other communication to share:
School Hours and Public Closure
The school is closed until further notice. Registrations for Summer will only be available online. If you have any issues or questions, reach out to us at email@example.com. We will continue to monitor email and respond where we can.
Spring 2020 Is Cancelled
Due to ongoing developments with the COVID-19 crisis, we have cancelled our Spring 2020 term.
If possible, we will explore offering the classes and workshops scheduled for the month of June and therefore we are keeping those open for the time being. However, we must wait to see if it will be safe for our students, staff and faculty to return in time to provide this option. We are hopeful, but also very aware of unfolding events and the likely possibility that distancing measures will need to be extended for some time.
Full refunds will be available. We are also asking students to consider putting their course fee as a credit on their account or, for those in a position to do so, donating the course fee or a portion thereof. With the cancellation of the Spring term and March Break Art Camps along with the postponement of the Art Auction, the school is now in a vulnerable position. More information about Spring cancellation, refunds and how you can help here.
The 50th Art Auction
The Auction is postponed until later in the year. However, until we have word from the public health department, a time frame is impossible to establish. In the interim, we are working through logistics and planning and will announce the new date as soon as we are able. We will be back! We have 50 years to celebrate and we’re going to need the support of our community more than ever.
See this link for the latest information for our artists, volunteers and attendees. Artists, there will be another submissions period once we set a revised date for the event.
March Break Art Camps Cancellation
Our apologies to all families for the late decision to cancel our March Break Art Camp programs and the inconvenience it undoubtedly caused. You can find more information about credits and refunds here.
