What is Art to Heart?

As a thank-you to the healthcare community, Dundas Valley School of Art is offering FREE online art classes designed specifically for healthcare workers. Funded through the Community Foundation of Canada, these classes are designed to promote personal wellbeing, reflection, and self-care. Participants will engage in simple, playful artmaking activities with the intention to bring joy, and will have opportunities to come together in a group structure to share their work, thoughts, and reflections.

Each week we will have a theme to anchor in our creative time. From that theme you will be invited to create based on an art invitation given by the facilitator. Or, you can go all DIY and play your way!

Classes will be led by a registered Canadian Art Therapist/Registered Psychotherapist, and will help you shake off some of the stress that comes with working in the healthcare field.

About the Instructor

Heidi (she/hers) is a cis-queer-white-able bodied person who lives for creative joy! She is a Registered Canadian Art Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario. Wellness workshops and online groups hold a special place in her heart and give so much opportunity for play and connection. Her own art journey is a little messy, very glittery and a lot of experiments in the moment.
