From a simple garden party with a few paintings in 1970 to 2020’s exciting three-day event featuring over 1,600 works of art – join us April 16-18 as we celebrate 50 years of the DVSA Annual Art Auction presented by incite Foundation for the Arts.

Our main fundraiser of the year, the golden anniversary edition of Dundas Valley School of Art’s Annual Art Auction promises surprises and as always, featured pieces from art world masters, iconic Canadian artists and a vast selection of artwork by the Hamilton region’s finest new and established artists.

Over 1,600 original works will be on display in all mediums – paintings, pastels, drawings, prints, photography, sculpture, pottery, glass, fibre art, jewellery and more. Take advantage of this exceptional opportunity to purchase original, high-quality and affordable artwork.

Free Previews:  Thursday, April 16 & Friday, April 17, 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.,  Saturday, April 18, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Come view the hundreds of works of art on display throughout the school and place your silent bids. Other highlights include the Dream Auction, featuring great value gift packages from local businesses, and the Discovery Room which showcases a wide selection of highly affordable pottery and matted works, books, art supplies and equipment.

Live Auction: Saturday, April 18, 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 7:00 p.m.)
The marquee event of the weekend, the Live Auction is held in the school’s premier event space, the Loft Studio, and features 50+ distinct selected works by renowned international and national artists plus the Hamilton region’s leading artists. Silent auction bids on all other artwork also close on this evening – be here for the food, drink and fun and to ensure your bids win your favourite pieces.
