Be a part of history! This year marks the golden anniversary of DVSA’s Annual Art Auction, a masterpiece 50 years in the making, and we want you to join in the celebration. Five decades later, the event that started as a simple garden party with a few paintings has become one of the largest fundraising art auctions in the country, featuring 1,600+ works of art.
Help us keep the momentum going on April 18 when we kick off our special 50th anniversary edition. Between February 3 and March 20, 2020 we will be accepting original art submissions at the school in all mediums – paintings, pastels, drawings, lino/etching/woodblock prints, photography, sculpture, pottery, glass, fibre art and jewellery. Please consider showing your support by submitting artwork to what is our most important fundraising event of the year, enabling us to continue fulfilling our mission of offering high quality and accessible visual art programming for the Hamilton/Burlington region.
All information about submitting artwork, including contracts and submission guidelines, is included in our Artist Submission Package (see link above). Submitted pieces may be a full donation or you may choose to have 25% or 50% of the selling price returned to you and receive a tax receipt for the amount donated to the school (with a minimum value of $20 per item). Plus, your work will receive exposure to thousands of art lovers and collectors from across the Hamilton region and Southwestern Ontario who visit DVSA to buy art over the three days.
It is impossible for non-profit organizations to mount such ambitious fundraising events as the Annual Art Auction without a strong base of support and the generosity of our regional artists. Thank you in advance for your support of this commemorative event.
